Platypus Calendar

Hi. The intention of the calendar is to give you an idea where the boat is (roughly) and when there is a "vacancy" for you to join us for a cruise. Take a look below and if you see a time you'd like to have and send me an email . I reserve the option to have empty spaces between guests so the final "booking" will be a matter of fitting your requirements around our needs.

So far these are the firm rules for guests:
1.Each person shares the cost of fuel at the rate of total engine hours since you joined the Platypus x 2.5 litres divided by the number of people on board.
2. You share in the tasks required to keep us all happy, well fed and going in a straight line (usually).
3. You make sure all your bedding and towels (provided) are washed and dried before you leave us (variable by negotiation).

About the Platypus

Platypus has two cabins, each with a queen size bed and its own ensuite bathroom.
The main cabin is a large one for the Captain and his missus, and the guest cabin is quite a lot smaller, the bed itself taking up most of the space. Storage in the guest cabin is largely under the bed - there is ample space for two suitcases. The ensuite is a "wet room" with vanity, toilet and shower. It is at the rear of the boat.

At the front of the boat is the galley and lounge, and at the prow is a small al fresco patio.

The lounge also has some sleeping possibilities, with "fold out" doubles on both sides, however these are not capable of offering comfortable bedding for two couples - one person on either side would be just OK.

On top of the boat is a large sundeck with a control position and table and chairs. I hope to have a sunshade/awning installed this year and a gas BBQ available.

The galley has two "bar size" fridges and a gas range with four burners, grill and oven.
